Committee concludes survey of BA training
December 15, 2009

The Training & Education Committee completed a review and analysis of Business Architecture training offerings available in the marketplace. The Business Architecture Board of Directors unanimously adopted the survey findings and recommendations. The goals of the survey included: Identify and review all available commercially available business architecture training curriculum, select and recommend at least one business architecture training and certification program, and identify additional training programs where applicable for potential posting. The Board concurred with the key finding that the Business Architecture Institute (BAI) has more content offerings, more location and online options, and a general depth, breadth and diversity of content not found in the other offerings.

BAS Board meets for first time at Brainstorm SF
July 1, 2009

San Francisco, CA - It's the first time that Business Architecture Society Board member Yan Yang is meeting all her fellow Board members in person. That's after being elected eight months ago. Such is the fact of life. With the other members located in Northern and Southern California and Tennesse, it's virtually impossible to meet face-to-face. Thanks to the organizers of Brainstorm for bringing this prestigious event to San Francisco, Yan can finally put a handshake to the name and face of her bi-weekly teleconference-mates.

Brainstorm San Francisco is a signature event of BPMI that meets the training and education needs of enterprise architects, business process analysts, business architects, business analysts, and practitioners in related disciplines. It's also an excellent opportunity to networks with colleagues, acquaintances, and new-found friends.

Shown in the picture from left to right are Jerome Abregana, Andrew Guitarte, Bill Ulrich, Ralph Whittle, and Yan Yang.
